Christian Borle in the Smash reunion

Smash was a TV series that lasted for two seasons, about a group of people trying to put on a musical called Bombshell of the life of Marilyn Monroe.

Christian Borle was smart of a Smash reunion, and someone has put together a video of her favorite parts.

Which are kind of fun.

Christian Borle in Broadway at the White House

Christian Borle as Shakespeare and the Four Gentlemen of Verona performed in Broadway at the White House in front of President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.

He appeared there, along with several other acts from Broadway, on November 26, 2015.

Here's an article about the upcoming performance: Michelle Obama dances the conga

My favorite photo: Christian Borle in tears

I think this is my favorite photo of Christian Borle, just because it shows what a nice guy he is and how well he gets along with his castmates.

The photo is from the bows of Peter and the Starcatcher (2012), in which Christian played Black Stache.

It was his last night, as he was leaving the show to return to the next season of Smash. and so apparently an announcement had been made.

I expect he got a standing ovation and a cheer, and hugs from castmates, and he was overcome with tears.

Let's Boycott Mean Tweets

Apparently "mean tweets" are a thing.

I never heard of them until I saw the title of this video and decided to watch it.

The actors reading out and reacting to mean tweets presumably left on the official Twitter page for Something Rotten.

And someone said that they got the idea from Jimmy Kimmel's TV program.

These are just evil.

I'm not sure if they were made up, and the actors were pretending to be upset, or if they were actually sent and the actors were pretending to not be upset...

But really, reading these things out is just encouraging unkind behavior.

I didn't find any of them funny at all.

But, I'll share the video....

but how about we start a movement - anyone who sends a "mean tweet" about an actor or anyone else for that matter, everyone respond with

"That was unkind and uncalled for. Let's be appreciators, not haters."

Recording the Something Rotten cast album

Ghostlight Records produced the Something Rotten cast album.

Musicals have cast albums, movies have soundtrack albums.

Ghostlight also produced an 8-minute documentary on how the cast album was created. An interesting behind-the-scenes look.

Has some brief interviews with some of the actors, footage of them singing in the studio interspersed with the same song in the actual show.

Welcome to the Christian Borle Collection

Here you'll find some chronological listings of Christian Borle's TV and theatre work.

I'll share videos from his interviews and cabaret performances that are on YouTube.

And I'll share my own thoughts on musical theatre, with an emphasis on those productions in which Mr. Borle has appeared.

I actually remember this commercial from 2003
